ABOUT the artist
Addia Gwet is a 25-year-old self-taught cartoonist and clay artist from Laytonsville, Maryland.
She’s been making fan art of her favorite cartoons since the late 2000s, but in 2023, while leading an art activity for a group of young children, she discovered a passion for air-dry clay!
Her very first project, the ‘Sesh w/ Rick’ Ashtray, gained a lot more attention on social media than expected. She began receiving requests from those in her hometown to friendly strangers around the world! And with the encouragement from close friends and family, 99thGallery was born.
