ABOUT the artist

My name is Addia Gwet and I’m a 24-year-old self-taught cartoonist and clay artist from Laytonsville, Maryland.

I’ve been making fan art of my favorite cartoons since the late 2000s but in 2023 while leading an art activity for a group of young children, I discovered a passion for air-dry clay!

My very first project, the ‘Sesh w/ Rick’ Ashtray, gained a lot more attention on social media than I expected. I started receiving requests from people I knew in my hometown to friendly strangers around the world! And with the encouragement from close friends and family, 99thGallery was born.
