ABOUT the artist

My name is Addia Gwet, and I’m a 24-year-old self-taught cartoonist and clay artist from Laytonsville, Maryland.

I began making fan art of popular cartoons since the late 2000s. And as I got older, I just never stopped!

In 2023, while leading an art activity for a group of young children I worked with, I discovered my passion for air-dry clay! I then bought my own very first tub of clay and began sculpting cartoon-inspired pieces.

My very first project, the ‘Sesh w/ Rick’ Ashtray, gained a lot more attention on social media than expected. I received multiple requests from people I knew in my hometown to friendly strangers around the world! And with the encouragement from close friends and family, 99thGallery was born.
